The program’s comprehensive framework combined socio-historical- ethnic studies history, cultural preservation and academic casework, advocacy, tutorial supports, college and career readiness, mentoring, family and community engagement efforts, and educational incentives. Each program is built around a community’s needs, and utilize student data—including academic, family, and community data—to address the individual needs of each student.
The proven results from taking the Student Services Support program framework and customizing to address the unique needs of the students served can be transformative- the key is developing a program around the needs of the student population. The results may lead to significant reductions in high school dropout rates, increased high school, college, and workforce graduates. Message from the Founder: Prior to my work within Tribal Government, I developed the framework based on my own personal experience, work in education and advocacy, research across various disciplines in ethnic studies, privilege and oppression, human rights and social justice. The key to outcomes and remarkable results comes from the planning, implementation, and approach.
